Cub JAM 2026 : Staff ONLY!

CubJAM simply wouldn’t happen without amazing volunteers like you. By giving up a weekend, you’ll help create a huge adventure and a weekend the Cubs will remember for years to come.

There are loads of ways you can get involved. Whether you fancy helping with security, running indoor crafts, working in the tuck shop, or supporting one of the many activities, there’s a role for everyone.

Every volunteer plays a part in making CubJAM an unforgettable experience for hundreds of young people. It’s fun, rewarding, and a brilliant way to be part of something special.

Job Roles Available at CubJAM 2026

There are loads of ways you can get involved in making CubJAM 2026 an unforgettable weekend. From helping activities run smoothly to supporting behind the scenes, every role plays a part in creating an amazing experience for the Cubs.

Below you’ll find a list of all the available roles. Click on any role to learn more about what’s involved and how you can help.

Facilities Team Roles 

x2 : Security Team Member

Gate Control

  • Monitor the entrance gate at all times during your shift.
  • Turn away any traffic not associated with the event.
  • For event-related vehicles, determine whether they are:
    • Staying on site / day visitors – Confirm they are registered for the event and hold a valid DBS check.
    • Dropping off or picking up – Liaise with the relevant sub-camp as necessary.

Staff Movement

  • When a member of staff leaves the site, confirm whether they intend to return.
  • If they do return later, ensure they are checked back in.

Car Parking

  • Be involved in traffic management during arrivals and departures.
x 1 Site Services Team Member

Facilities Care

  • Support the upkeep of shared facilities, ensuring toilets and wash areas remain clean, hygienic, and welcoming for everyone.
  • Check facilities regularly and restock supplies where needed.

Waste Management

  • Monitor and empty bins around the site to help keep communal areas tidy and pleasant.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of in the correct areas.

General Site Maintenance

  • Respond to any minor issues or repairs that arise on site.
  • Work with the Site Services Lead to address any larger or urgent maintenance needs.

Media Team

x1 : Media Team Members

As a Media Team Member, you will help capture the spirit and excitement of CubJam by taking photos and short videos throughout the event. Working with the wider team, you will record activities, memorable moments and the overall atmosphere so they can be shared with participants, leaders and the wider scouting community.

The role involves moving around the site to photograph activities, capturing a variety of moments across the event, and supporting the media lead with collecting and organising content. A positive attitude, creativity and a willingness to be active around the site will help ensure the energy and fun of CubJam is captured

LONG STAY CAR PARK

All leaders and parent helpers who are bringing a vehicle on site and staying from Friday must have a car pass displayed in the front window.   For the faster entry fix the pass to the top left corner (as you look out) of your front window.
